The 7th Product Management Leadership Summit is designed to share examples of what companies have done to achieve their goals by implementing best-in-class Product Management practices.:
Which organizational strategies work the best?
How do executives respond to shifting organizational needs?

Nov 2012 - Strategies for Global Product Management
The watchword for the 6th Summit was Globalization - a theme which resonated with everyone in the room. There are many companies which excel in their practices of managing the function of Product Management on a global level. Yet, our research shows that even the best of the best battle these ever present questions:
Should Product Management be centralized or localized?
Should products be standardized globally or modified to meet regional needs?
How should executive teams manage global product platforms and portfolios?
Should product managers have global responsibility or should each region have its
own product manager(s)?
How should global cross-functional product teams be managed?

May 2012 - Product Management Organizational Success
The programs in the 5th Product Management Leadership Summit emphasized the building blocks that allow for the organization to be properly guided, such as role alignment and process effectiveness. Elements of the Product Management Maturity Model formed topics for the day. The PM Maturity Model includes: Governance, Product Portfolio Management, Product Life Cycle Management, Data and Knowledge Management,Process and Template Management, Managing Product Managers, Cross-Functional Product Teams, and Performance Metric Management. Over 65 participants heard from four dynamic leaders who shared their experiences in building and maturing product organizations:- Bank of New York Mellon, Al Briand and Deborah Lorenzen, Managing Directors - "Creating a Product Management Function on a Brown Field Site"

July 2011 - Product Management Organizational Design and Development
The 3rd Product Management Leadership Summit focused on aspects of Product Management which exemplify the long-term success of Product Management. The following presentations provided powerful examples used by several estimable firms:- CIGNA's VP of Product Management, Jackie Aube; CUNA Mutual's VP Credit Union Strategy, Laurie Haseley; and Cadence Design Systems' Group Director of Product Management, David Desharnais each provided a synopsis of the programs currently being undertaken by their firms on their respective journey's toward Product Management Excellence.

December 2010 - Product Management Sustainability
Our second Product Management Leadership Summit emphasized key aspects of Product Management organizational development. Panel Discussion on Product Management Sustainability featuring David Payton, Director of US Product Management at FedEx, Kathleen Campbell, Head of Product Engineering at Aetna, and Stephan Konig, Director of Product Management at Blackbaud.
Participants summed up their experiences this way:

May 2010 - Perspectives on Product Management
Sequent's inaugural Product Management Leadership Summit gathered 50 executives and senior leaders of Product Management and Marketing organizations from around the world for a full day event to learn, share, and present a unique perspective on Product Management. The program was based on findings from Sequent's groundbreaking State of Product Management Benchmark research project. Outstanding speakers from the following companies showcased their work in advancing the stature of Product Management:- SITA Head of Product Management Practices, Holly Vaughn,explained their six year journey in perfecting the PM organization
- FedEx Director of US Product Management, David Payton, demonstrated how they efficiently utilize vast amounts of market data to drive product investment decisions
- CA Technologies VP Product Management, David Arbeitel, described their approach to developing realistic product strategies
- Airlines Reporting Corporation Director of Analytical Service, Sheila Cuyjet, showed how they drive innovative practices in their product organization
- Blackbaud VP Product Management, Jay O'Dell,proved how structured portfolio rationalization helped them manage an increasingly complex portfolio in a short period of time
Participants greatly valued the opportunity to network with other senior leaders who share their passion for Product Management. After the Summit, several leaders have continued these dialogs and further developed relationships with those they met. Participants described the session as:
